Thank you for your willingness to serve as a county delegate! I am asked on a daily basis why I would choose to be involved in politics. The fact that you are willing to jump into this arena and serve says that you and I have something important in common. We believe in our American political system — enough that we’re willing to set aside comfort and ease and get involved.

There is another related question that I get frequently, and I suspect that the answer might be one you’re interested in. Why am I running for Utah House district 74 right now? Because I love southern Utah. I love the people here. I have served side-by-side with you during floods, during first grade reading time, while installing sculptures in downtown St. George, at the Chamber of Commerce, and while raising money for everything from the Children’s Justice Center to Dixie State University. Southern Utah is full of good, hard-working, big-hearted people. I am inspired by you.

We need to get back to our roots. We need to remember what it’s like to work together. We have big issues to deal with: water, government overreach and overspending, growth, inflation. There are groups we need to support — law enforcement and other first responders, our students and children, teachers who have taken it on the chin during the pandemic. We can do this.

I want to hear your thoughts. What things would you add to the lists above? What ideas and solutions do you have? How can we better come together to support what is best for our community? Let’s chat. I’ll be reaching out to you with invitations, but in the meantime, text me. Email me. Reach out on social media. I’ll meet you in your living room or at the library or at your favorite soda shop. Check out my website. I bet you’ll find we have a lot in common. We love our kids. We love our community. We love our freedoms. We’re optimistic. We’ve got grit. And together, we’ve got this!
