Highlights from July Grace Advisory Board Meeting, July 2, 2024 | by Judy Barnes, Congregational Representative
Pastor’s Report-
- Discussed DCO (Director of Christian Outreach) job description and provided information requested by the Call Committee about strategic objectives.
- Pastor updated GAB on travel dates for continuing education dates in August and September.

Barb Tippin will be retiring in January of 2025, and search for replacement should begin in earnest.
Treasurer Report –

Presented and discussion elicited a question about why Touched by Grace still showed a balance? (Possible that money was moved after May 31st the report date). This will be looked into and followed up on.
Secretary and Vice President - No reports.
Congregational Representative-
-
GAB members were made aware of a few members voicing their opinions on change to one service. It was agreed that 6 months’ time would be a better indicator in evaluating this change.
- Many positives have accompanied this change including worshiping together as one faith community, Pastor being able to spend more time greeting people on Sunday and additional time for Bible studies and/or meetings.
Resource Board-
- Kathy Peterson will follow up on Grace House porch repairs as well as the playground drainage problems.
Discipleship Board – Written report submitted- Click here.
President- Informed GAB members that Erin is looking into texting program. She will touch base with board after she gets more specific information.

- July 20, 2024 -- 9:30 am – 12 noon Leadership and Outcome meeting.
- August 4, 12:30 pm next GAB meeting.
