We hope everyone is enjoying the first few weeks of school! Somehow, fall is officially upon us and we are always looking for creative ways to be part of our wonderful Andover community. We hope you enjoy all the events and happenings we have available this season. There's always an opportunity to join in on all the fall family fun at South and if you're looking to help or become part of the South PTO, look no further than here. We have a variety of opportunities this year!
Interested in Creating a Downtown Andover Scarecrow?
South PTO is looking for 2 families (or groups of families) to volunteer to create 2 additional scarecrows to be featured in downtown Andover. This year's theme “Sowing Seeds of Liberty: 250 Years of Bold Ideas,” celebrates the spirit of innovation that has driven Andover forward over the last two and a half centuries. VisitACE's website to learn more! (P.S. Our South School Scarecrow was featured in last year's Boston.com!) 🍂
As a new tradition, the PTO is creating a monthly community bulletin board to showcase the various holidays our students and staff celebrate with new themes each month. Next time you're at South, please check out our beautiful September board to the left of the main office! (Shout out to Jeanne DeLorenzo and her family for putting together this month's eye-catching display!)
Coming Soon: Tiger Tickets 🎟️
On October 5th, South's PTO will kick off the 2nd Annual Tiger Tickets Raffle (our biggest fundraiser of the year!) On that day, all South students will return home with a South School light up bracelet and an envelope filled with fundraiser info and order forms with the Zeffy QR code (there will be no physical tickets this year). From October 5 through November 6, families and friends are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win! Entire classrooms will be awarded amazing South School themed prizes each time they reach fundraising goals! The highest earning classroom wins a pizza party, and the highest earning students will win a special prize! Keep an eye out for more info to come! We are excited and we hope you are too! 🐯
Coming Soon: The 2026 - 2027 South School Directory 🚧
We are busy working on our South School Directory and it will be live soon! Stay tuned for a link and password. Our directory is a great way to find contact information for South families who have opted in to be included as well as Staff information.
