Quiet Heroes make a Big Difference

for the Future of Southeastern Idaho

At United Way of Southeastern Idaho (UWSEI), we believe early learning is key to lifelong success. Despite limited state funding and non-mandatory kindergarten, our grassroots efforts have significantly improved kindergarten readiness in American Falls, with proficiency scores rising from 20% to 39%. Now, we face the challenge of expanding these successes to Bannock County. Generous donations, like those from our silent heroes, are crucial in providing scholarships for young learners.

We invite you to read the full article at the link below to learn more about our efforts and how you can help ensure every child begins school ready to learn.

Read Talk Play in the Outfield

Pocatello, ID, July 11, 2024

Read Talk Play in the Outfield at Halliwell Park was a great hit! Kids had a blast reading, talking, and playing with the Gate City Grays team players.

During the event, we hosted a 50/50 raffle to benefit preschool scholarships. A total of $381 was raised, and the anonymous winner graciously donated their prize money back towards the scholarships. Additionally, a generous attendee contributed an extra $100 to the cause.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the families who braved the heat to support this year's charity game, to New Day Products and Resources for the amazing T-shirts, the Gate City Grays team, and to our dedicated volunteers for making this event a success.
