mission moment
from The Education Foundation of BCPS
| | The Education Foundation unveils its new website | | |
On March 1, The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc., launched its new website. The new website was designed by Media Star Promotions.
“The foundation is on a mission to contribute to a brighter future as a champion for the school system and the community through advocacy, fundraising, and programming,” says Dr. Heather Wooldridge, the foundation’s associate director. “Our new website is designed to highlight the components of our mission-driven work. The design will make it easier for educators to find the information they need about scholarships, grants, and other programs, and for community members to learn about what we do and how they can help.”
A Mission Moment blog post offers a challenge to reward those who fully explore the website and can answer several questions about it. Those who participate will be placed in a drawing to win a prize worth more than $200.

March 17, 2025
Dear Reader:
We are halfway through the third quarter and want to share important safety reminders to ensure all students complete the marking period strongly! We want to thank our students and staff for the work they do each day to build positive and supportive spaces and acknowledge that most of our students come to school ready to learn and engage with their peers and adults.
When we work together and commit to upholding our roles, we create safe and welcoming spaces where students can maximize learning and experience all that our schools have to offer. Across the state and nation, we continue to see concerning trends in student behaviors. It is essential that every member of our community understands the role they play in supporting student and staff safety and well-being.
I encourage you to review my March 11 message to staff and the community (available in English and Spanish). It includes suggestions for what each of us – the schools/school system, students and families, and the community – can do to promote safety.
Regards,
Myriam Rogers, Ed.D.
Superintendent
