Dear Yavneh Families,

Yavneh will be closed tomorrow, Feb 23rd. Looks like a big storm is expected! 

Baruch Hashem we were able to celebrate three wonderful siddur celebrations in school today before the storm arrived.

I know people are already curious about the status of school on Tuesday. While it is too early to tell…three scenarios are possible…

• Regular school
• Two hour delayed opening
• No school

What does it generally depend on?

• How much snow we actually get
• When the snow stops
• And most importantly what are the road conditions

Some other factors to keep in mind, sometimes the roads where we live may be cleared for cars but not for buses. Additionally, sometimes our bus drivers live in areas that are not yet cleared and can’t get to the depot etc. 

Obviously once there is a decision we will communicate with our families, while recognizing that decisions are subject to change when dealing with significant snow. 

Looking forward to seeing everyone back in school as soon as possible!
