What always comes at the end of Thanksgiving?....

Last week we celebrated the gorgeous new Allina Clinic on Cedar & Dodd. We are going to love those bright fresh spaces when we are knee deep in snow this winter.

Krista and Logan connect with Jason Botterill, President of the Dakota Curling Club. We talk about the history of curling, how to get involved, and how much fun curling can be!

Thank you to Councilmember Dan Wolter for having breakfast with us this week! It was fun to learn more about his career journey and how he came to Lakeville - fun fact: it was because he saw now Mayor, Luke Hellier's Facebook post about a house for sale in his neighborhood! Thank you to all who make Good Morning Lakeville possible - B52 Burgers + Brew, Dunn Brothers Coffee, and our 2023 series sponsor, Interstate Power Systems.

How ugly can you get?! There will be prizes!...

Last week we took a couple dozen ISD194 teachers on the second annual Made in Lakeville Teacher Tour. We hopped on a Gray Line MN coach, and Community Development Director, Tina Goodroad, narrated a bus tour of our industrial park and surrounding areas. The bus tour included an interactive BINGO game, thanks to Economic Development Coordinator, Kati Bachmayer, and two in-person tour stops. The teachers got a firsthand look at the new Highview Elementary School that is under construction, learning from Loeffler Construction about careers in the construction industry and the financial rewards of those careers. We then stopped at BTD Manufacturing and toured their facility – geeking out on the technology and robotics they use to create their product lines. We finished the night with a small gift, a drink, and some apps at The Better Half in downtown Lakeville. This tour is a part of our Lakeville Works mission to create awareness of in-demand careers in our community – and who better to know about these than our educators! We look forward to next year!

Your 2023 Lakeville Chamber of Commerce Businessperson of the Year is Bob Curtis of Bob Curtis Agency Farmers Insurance!
