Coordinators' Corner

We made it through first quarter and we're well on our way to finishing out the semester--can you believe it? It's always amazing how fast the fall semester flies by!

We want to take this time to express our thanks for our entire Central family. As Thanksgiving rolls around, it's always a good time to pause and take stock of our blessings, especially the people in our lives. We are so thankful for the amazing Central teachers and staff. The care and concern they show for our students is what makes Central the best school in town!

We are also so thankful for our amazing IB students that chose Central as their "home." We have the best, most welcoming student body, and they too are what makes Central High School so special.

We wish you all a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving week off--you all certainly deserve it!

A message from our MYP Personal Project Coordinator (Grade 10)

Hello!

I’m the personal project coordinator, and I wanted to share some images from a few student’s projects so far. I have three other teachers on my team, and we have all been busy this semester with a wide range of projects! Students in the pictures are in Dr. Teague’s project lab and features a homemade hurdy-gurdy! Other personal projects range from creating ASD chore and item boards for children who are nonverbal, a skate park recycling bin for safety equipment and other materials, a student who is learning about aspects of trauma and PTSD to create a list of available public resources, as well as plenty of creative projects in writing, art mediums, and music. Our showcase date is Dec. 5!

Thank you!

Amanda Boes
