MAYOR'S UPDATE

From the desk of Mayor Rika Levin

I echo Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins:

“Two years ago today, on October 7th, we watched in horror as innocent lives were taken in Israel through acts of terror and brutality. That pain did not stop at Israel’s borders — it was felt in every Jewish community, and it was felt deeply here in Westchester.

Though this tragedy occurred thousands of miles away, we grieve here at home — in our synagogues, schools, and neighborhoods — because when members of our extended family suffer, we suffer with them. May the memory of those we lost continue to be a blessing and may the strength of our community here in Westchester help carry that blessing forward.”

We’re delighted to welcome Well Collab Acupuncture to our community at 127 Main Street. Their holistic approach to wellness and healing adds another wonderful dimension to the vibrant mix of local businesses that make our Village thrive. Stop by to say hello and learn more about their services!

Did you know that we have a growing and vibrant aging in place community? In addition to the many senior programs that are already offered in Ossining, we are excited to introduce a new initiative.

Get ready to “Take Charge of Your Aging with the engaging Aging Alone Together®” six-week series, proudly offered at no cost by DOROT in collaboration with the Village of Ossining.

This program is designed for adults aged 60 and above, offering an opportunity to build community while learning, discussing, and reflecting on the social and logistical challenges of aging with independence.

Sessions are held on Thursdays from 10 AM to 12 PM in November and December at the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center. This is a great chance to connect and get ready for the future.
