This Sunday morning, Daniel Harder, IH ’15, will lead his 6th annual “Run4Sue” event and fundraiser on behalf of his mother, Sue Harder (of “The Sue”).

From Daniel:

Run4Sue is a celebration of friends and family in a fun way to remember a wonderful friend, family member, and human being. When Daniel went off to college, Sue began running and developed a wonderful community of running friends who became her extended family.

Accordingly, there is a 5K run / walk following greetings, introductions, and words from the Executive Director of Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati, the charitable partner of Run4Sue. Indian Hill Schools participates with Girls on the Run and is recognized as a wonderful organization.

The event is held at 50 West in the parking lot next to FleetFeet in Newtown and participants should arrive by 9:30 am. However, there is also virtual participation opportunity as described below and through the provided link.

If so moved, there are three ways in which to participate and make a difference, which truly requires very little to make a big impact:

  • Register for the event, in-person ($49.95) or virtual ($54.95) and honor Sue, make a small donation to Girls on the Run, and earn yourself a great Run4Sue shirt and cool “Sue” medal.
  • Donate to Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati.
  • Please share with others who may or not have known Sue and who may or may not be familiar with the extraordinary ideals and benefits of Girls on the Run.

Register & Donate Here!

We sincerely appreciate every person and every dollar which helps keep Run4Sue going. This is the 6th annual Run4Sue event (always held near Sue’s October 1 birthday - note the 10:01 start time!). If you have yet to register or make a donation, please consider helping to make it the best event yet!

Girls on the Run (GOTR) and “Sue’s Running Buddies”:

For girls Grades 3 through 8, Girls on the Run impacts girls in a myriad of positive ways, including exposure to running and establishing new health habits, along with building important social skills, confidence and self-esteem.

To participate in a Fall or Spring GOTR 5K, each girl must have someone age 16 or older running with her, whether a parent, sister, or friend. There is a fee charged for both the participant and “running buddy”. Funds raised through Run4Sue have allowed school teams that could not afford the fees to participate. Some schools need to arrange transportation for teams to participate. As a fun and meaningful creation, Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati established “Sue’s Running Buddies” to specifically pay the running buddy fees for qualifying runners to ensure that those girls who wish to participate can run with their classmates.

Your participation in any way is so greatly appreciated. You really do make a difference!!!!

WE DID IT! The IHES Turf Project is fully funded!

The Indian Hill PTO is thrilled to share this exciting milestone for our school community. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families, donors, sponsors, and community partners, the IHES Turf Project is officially moving forward!

We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed and helped bring this vision to life. A special thank you to the Indian Hill Foundation for its generous support and partnership in helping us cross the finish line.

Construction is expected to begin in mid-October, creating a durable, all-weather space that will give IHES students even more opportunities for recess, outdoor learning, and play.

And there’s more to celebrate! Join us at Party on the Hill (POTH) on November 7, 2026, at MadTree Parks & Rec as we celebrate what our community can accomplish together.

Tickets are available on the IH PTO website.

Thank you, Indian Hill! This project is more than a new space. It’s an investment in our students and our school community for years to come.
