Updates From Our Sister Parish in Turkana
"Happy Easter, Happy Easter, Happy Easter.
He is risen as He said, alleluia.
With warm hearts and joys of Easter we receive your warm greetings and we too extend our greetings to our dear brothers and sisters of our Sister Parish.
All is good here in St. Mark Lokitaung as I prepare to welcome you.
We are eagerly waiting for you.
Blessings, blessings, blessings."
ā Fr. Edwin
Fr. Edwin will host our small group of visitors from the Oratory parishes in mid-June as he transitions to a new assignment and welcomes the new priest who will take over as pastor of St Markās.
Six people from the Oratory parishes will travel to the Turkana region and visit our Sister Parish during the last half of June. While there they will celebrate mass with the community of St Markās parish and the Bishop of the Diocese of Turkana. They will also visit several outstations of the parish with Fr. Edwin to get a sense of the people, conditions, and extent of the work of the parish. At Fr. Edwinās request, they will join him in distributing food to those in need.
We here at the Oratory parishes are raising funds to purchase the food which will be transported to St. Markās along with our travelers. You can participate in this act of caring for our sisters and brothers by donating to the food collection either during the mass or the picnic on May 17 or via the Turkana fund in Push Pay.
We are grateful for your support of our Sister Parish at our St. Markās Feast Day Coffee Hour celebration on April 25. Thank you everyone!
Parish Giving Envelopes and Upcoming Second Collections
Quarterly offering envelopes will be mailed by the end of this week. There will be
blank offering envelopes available at the back of the church.
On Sunday, May 17, we will have a second collection for Turkana food support. The food will be transported by our parishioners who will be visiting next month. Donations can also be made on Pushpay by selecting the Turkana fund.

Pilgrimage: Rome in the Footsteps of St. Philip Neri
Come join Fathers Mark Paul and Anthony, together with fellow Oratory parishioners and friends, for a grace-filled pilgrimage to Rome in the spirit of St. Philip Neri. More than a visit to the Eternal City, this journey offers the opportunity to pray where St. Philip prayed, walk the streets he walked, and visit the churches and sacred places where his joyful witness shaped the life of the Church and gave birth to the Oratory. Celebrating Mass together in Rome, especially in the places so closely connected to our Oratorian heritage, promises to be a deeply moving spiritual experience.
