The LAGRANT Foundation Places Two Students in Summer Internship Program at Medtronic

LOS ANGELES (January 29, 2025) The LAGRANT Foundation (TLF) has recently placed Adrian Gomez and Kennedy Houston in the Global Communications and Corporate Marketing (GCCM) Internship at Medtronic. The internship will take place this summer and will be based at the company’s operating headquarters in Minnesota.


Gomez is a current sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin and is pursuing a degree in advertising within the Moody College Honors Program. He is currently a data analytics manager for Tower & Bridge Communications, the university’s student-run advertising and public relations agency. Gomez recently became the communications intern for Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, a nonprofit advocacy organization and legal services provider.


Houston is a current junior at Baylor University and is pursuing a degree in corporate communications. She currently serves as a fan engagement and marketing intern for Baylor Athletics, supporting in-venue fan experiences and contributing to various marketing initiatives. Additionally, Houston is the audit chair and corresponding secretary for the Rho Eta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and a member of Women in Business.


The GCCM Function within Medtronic is responsible for building, elevating, and protecting the brand’s reputation and value. As interns, Gomez and Houston will gain experience within various disciplines across GCCM, including communications, marketing, and public relations. Both will have the opportunity to build their network and participate in developmental opportunities such as mentoring, training, and leadership workshops.
