Your Impact in Our Journey of Hope and Healing

Dear Community Partners,

As we approach the end of 2023, we at Atlohsa Family Healing Services are filled with gratitude for your continued support and generosity. Your dedication has been instrumental in empowering our mission to provide assistance to those in greatest need.

In a significant stride forward, the London City Council has recently approved our proposal to operate Wiigiwaaminaan as an Indigenous-focused Hub at its existing location at 550 Wellington Road. This marks a pivotal expansion of our services, specifically tailored to address Indigenous homelessness in London.

Currently underway at St. Joseph’s Health Care London’s Parkwood Institute, the hub is being transformed to feature 28 transitional and respite beds, primary health care, Indigenous mental health supports, and a land-based healing lodge program. The ongoing renovations, which include the construction of single tiny homes and the enhancement of existing amenities, are shaping this space into a nurturing environment that upholds our commitment to culturally safe care and holistic wellness.

"With the launch of the new Indigenous-led hub, we are excited to be able to provide supports for the Indigenous community that center culture as the basis of service delivery. Access to land-based healing, robust onsite housing supports and primary health care support built into this new model is exemplary of not only what an innovative hub model can be but how we can create a community and support each other as Indigenous peoples."

- Andrea Jibb, Director of Housing and Healing Services & Terri King, Manager of Homelessness Services
