Today Is the Last Day to Register for the November Luncheon!

Join us Wednesday, November 11, from 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Smithville American Legion Post #58, for our next Membership Luncheon, sponsored by Security Bank of Kansas City.

We’ll gather for networking, a Thanksgiving meal and recognition of Veterans Day. Today, Friday, November 6, is the last day to register! Reserve your spot below or through the Chamber website—we look forward to seeing you there!

Help Bring CandyLand Christmas to Life! 🍬🎄

CandyLand Christmas returns Saturday, December 5, from 1:00–5:30 p.m., and we’re inviting our businesses and community partners to help create a magical afternoon for local families!

Children can drop off letters to Santa, pick up a goody bag and follow the CandyLand map through downtown for treats and activities. With approximately 400–600 children expected, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with families and show off your business.

Here’s how you can participate:

Downtown businesses: Become a stop on the CandyLand map! Be open throughout the event and provide a free treat, goodie, craft or activity for the children who visit.

Chamber members outside downtown: Set up a booth at the Smithville Activity Center, 113 W. Main St., and provide a treat or activity throughout the event. Spaces are limited, so please contact me soon to reserve yours!

Sponsors and donors: Help us fill approximately 600 goody bags with donated treats or trinkets, or support the event through a monetary sponsorship.

Participation as a downtown stop or Activity Center booth is free, and sponsorship is optional. Please plan to have enough supplies for the children attending and remain set up for the full event.

Sponsorship levels include Gumdrop ($25 or a goody bag donation), Candy Cane ($50), Lollipop ($75) and Santa’s Workshop ($100), with recognition opportunities at each level. These amounts reflect the cash/check discount.

We’re signing up participating businesses and gathering donations, and we would love to include you! Reply to this email if you’d like to participate, donate items or sponsor the event! Make a day of the holiday festivities and stay downtown for the Lighted Christmas Parade and Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting that evening!
