From Your Administrative Team

Greetings Families,

We want to share our gratitude for the planning, facilitation, and participation in two incredible events this week: our Parent Educator Conference and our Multi-Cultural Fair! We are thankful for the presenters, committee members, staff, families and students for all the work they dedicated to hosting these two community events--thank you for creating space for all of us to learn, grow, and celebrate with each other!

Resources continue to be added to the Sched app for each workshop during PEC, including recordings, so be sure to check there for details!

We also want to honor Indigenous People's Day on October 9th! Check out THIS resource from Jo Boaler on Youcubed to learn how mathematics manifests in indigenous art! There are a variety of lessons including various indigenous art from around the globe, as well as a Native Land map to explore further.

Enjoy Your Weekend,

Kaitlin (She/Her) and Robin (She/Her)

*These will be homeschool days for EVERYONE*

Student Led Conferences are one of our favorite signature practices across Da Vinci Schools! These mandatory conferences are one of the ways we put students in the driver's seat, and allow them to share with the adults around them the things that feel successful about their learning, what it feels like to be a student through their eyes, and an opportunity to share what they need from us! You will hear soon from your classroom with additional details, including sign ups, in the coming days!
