Exploring the 10% with Pr. Nicolette Penaranda

This workshop invites us to ground ourselves in the holistic approach to talking about stewardship. Why do we limit ourselves to measuring monetary giving? What is lost when we ignore the treasures and talents offered to us? How does this relate to growing generations that exclusively lived through a declining church? There is no one approach to stewardship but perhaps we can be reminded of the many gifts that make us church together.

Pastor Nicolette Penaranda is program director for African Descent Ministries of the ELCA, and was the churchwide representative to last week's Synod Assembly. You can watch her assembly presentation here.

COVID Update with Dr. Babinchak May 12
Join us Thursday, May 12 at 11 a.m. for another conversation with infectious disease specialist, Dr. Tim Babinchak, assessing the realities of the ongoing pandemic.

COVID is not over. The Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania said this week that of 150 persons attending a clergy gathering last week, 41 had tested positive for the virus. As of today, the CDC's Community Transmission statistics show that all four of our suburban counties have "high" community transmission, and Philadelphia has "substantial" transmission. We are grateful that instances of severe disease and hospitalizations have not yet followed the rise in cases.

Join us Thursday at 11 a.m. to hear a professional's view and to have your questions answered. If you have a question you'd like to discuss, please email it to rfisher@sepa.org in advance of our discussion. Feel free to invite leaders from your congregation who might be interested.
