Imagine all of your favourite Christmas songs, and a few other ones

that you may or may not know, being sung by some of

Canada’s favourite Blues voices!

A Bluesy Christmas is a Bluesified version of all of your favourite Christmas tunes. From “Merry Christmas, Baby” to “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” to “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” to “Christmas Time in New Orleans”. It’s all here with an All Star band bringing you all the nuances and style of the originals again, songs that you know by Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, Albert King and Louis Armstrong, it’s all here!

Friends, Chuck Jackson (lead singer of The Downchild Blues Band) & Johnny Max (2 X JUNO Award nominee) got together with their pal and one of Canada’s finest female vocalists, Cheryl Lescom (Ronnie Hawkins & Matt Minglewood), had an idea to bring a show to their home of Port Credit and it has blossomed from there.

For 10 years and many special guests this trio along with their favourite band have an absolute laugh, as old friends are able to do! You know all of the songs and will laugh at all of the banter from these close friends. A great night of Christmas music sung and played to perfection by these consummate professionals, all on one stage!!

It’s all candy canes and chocolate when you come and experience

A Bluesy Christmas

Harrison Kennedy

Old Fashioned Plain

LEGENDARY HAMILTON BLUES & SOUL SINGER HARRISON KENNEDY IS 'OLD FASHIONED PLAIN' WITH NEW RELEASE

The multi-awarding winning octogenarian released his eighth recording on Electro-Fi Records on September 4th, 2026

“First Rate and Unique, Harrison Kennedy is a Modern Blues Master.”- Living Blues Magazine

Hamilton, Ontario based Harrison Kennedy has been exploring the full spectrum of Blues and Soul music since the early 1960’s, from touring the world as a founding member of the 70’s Soul Supergroup “The Chairmen of the Board” to becoming a JUNO winning and multiple BMA nominated Blues singer/songwriter in the 21st century.

"The Blues is a generational artform, the good stuff gets better with age and exploration, the other stuff gets left at the curb." says Kennedy. "Two days ten tunes with great players. I hope you can feel the Old Fashion Plain soul message coming from the songs."
