COGdesign is offering the opportunity to work on one of four new projects in East Boston, Dorchester, Roxbury and Roslindale. We welcome designers in all stages of their careers to join our pro bono design teams: landscape architects, landscape designers, urban and environmental planners, horticulturalists, historians. Work can begin as soon as design teams are assembled and matched with projects. Let us know asap if you are interested.
You're welcome to forward this invitation to any colleagues you think might be interested in pro bono landscape design.
1 United Neighbors of Lower Roxbury community garden and park, Roxbury
2 Eastie Farm community garden and gathering space, E. Boston
3 Puddingstone Garden revitalization, Dorchester
4 Archdale Public Housing playground and grounds, Roslindale
Every project has a liaison, a person who functions as a tacit project manager, attending meetings and offering support to designers and community partners as needed. Sometimes this role is played by a retired landscape architect or designer or someone who has knowledge of urban planning processes. This important role involves less of a time commitment; a great way to get to know COG's work.
