Annual Free Tree Giveaway for
Oakland Mills Residents
The Oakland Mills Community Association and Columbia Association are excited to announce that CA has given 40 trees to OMCA for our residents.
Trees MUST be reserved in advance and must be picked up during the distribution period listed below.
TO RESERVE ONE TREE please follow the instructions below.
Send an email with your name and Oakland Mills address to: manager@oaklandmills.org.
We will send you a confirmation email that a tree has been
reserved for you.
Or
Stop by the Oakland Mills Community Association table at the Oakland Mills Fall Festival on Saturday October 3rd and sign up with your name, Oakland Mills address, and email address.
Tree Distribution Dates for those who reserve a tree:
Tues. October 6th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Wed. October 7th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m
Thurs. October 8th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m
(Please note: You must be able to transport your tree when you pick it up).
Those who reserved a tree and received confirmation can select from one of
the four varieties listed below, based on availability. You cannot select a specific tree in advance but choose from what is available when you come to pick up a tree.
Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis)
Flowering Dogwood (Cornus florida)
White Oak (Quercus alba)
Pawpaw (Asimina triloba)
Your cooperation with this advance registration process and pick up is appreciated.
Trees will be given out on a first come, first serve basis to those who sign up.
