Dear Ones,

This week we will keep it brief!

I hope you are planning to be at the Investiture on Saturday at 4pm! It'll be SUCH an amazing celebration!

Since we will have many guests, please see the map below in regard to additional parking areas available. If you're able to come a bit early and have the mobility to park a bit further away, your help with hospitality would be much, much appreciated!

If you aren't able to be there, please know that we will have a livestream of the service taking place too. I'm excited and eager to celebrate our new beginning together. Thank you for your prayers and partnership.

¡Espero que tengan planeado asistir a la ceremonia de investidura el sábado a las 4 p. m.! ¡Será una celebración TAN increíble!

Dado que tendremos muchos invitados, por favor consulten el mapa a continuación para ver las áreas de estacionamiento adicionales disponibles. Si pueden llegar un poco antes y no les molesta estacionarse un poco más lejos, ¡agradeceríamos muchísimo su ayuda con la hospitalidad!

Investiture Details

**Guest and Diocesan Clergy are invited to vest for the opening procession.

The service is Evensong, so please wear Cassock/Surplice/Tippet.**

The service begins at 4:00 p.m. and will feature two specially commissioned pieces of music performed by the Cathedral Choir.

Please join us afterward for a festive reception with food and beverages in Atwood Hall and on the Labyrinth.

Parking Travel Options (see map above)

Cathedral Parking Garage:

Parking Garage: Available adjacent to the Cathedral, with volunteers assisting. Enter from the alley north of Roosevelt Street via southbound Central Avenue or northbound First Avenue.
ADA Parking: Designated spaces are available in the garage.
Passenger Drop-Off: Located at the alley entrance across from the garage, with a volunteer available to assist.
Street Parking: Limited parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.

Light Rail:

Valley Metro Light Rail is a convenient alternative to driving. The Roosevelt Station is just steps from the Cathedral.

From North Phoenix: Park at the Camelback and 3rd Avenue light rail lot and ride south.
From the East Valley: Transfer from the A Line to the northbound B Line at Central and Washington in downtown Phoenix.
Fare machines are available at light rail stations.

We Remember All Who Have Died...

Each year, on All Saints’ Day, we read aloud the names of those who have died in the past year. You can have the name/s of your loved ones read aloud by adding them to the list at the desk in Olney Gallery or in the Narthex (foyer) of the church by October 25. You can also email names to office@trinitycathedral.com. Names will be read aloud on November 1.

We will also put up the Ofrenda - the altar of remembrance in honor of Dia de los Muertos - on October 25. All are invited to bring a photo of a a loved one who has passed to put on the altar for a few weeks in honor and memory of them.

Recordamos a todos los que han fallecido...

Cada año, en el Día de Todos los Santos, leemos en voz alta los nombres de quienes han fallecido durante el último año. Puedes hacer que se lean en voz alta los nombres de tus seres queridos agregándolos a la lista en el mostrador de la Galería Olney o en el nártex (vestíbulo) de la iglesia antes del 25 de octubre. También puedes enviar los nombres por correo electrónico a office@trinitycathedral.com. Los nombres se leerán en voz alta el 1 de noviembre.

Además, el 25 de octubre montaremos la Ofrenda —el altar conmemorativo en honor al Día de los Muertos—. Todos están invitados a traer una foto de un ser querido que haya fallecido para colocarla en el altar durante unas semanas, en su honor y memoria.

Are you looking for a new way to serve at Trinity? Do you have the ability to hold big picture vision and to get things done?

Our Board of Directors, called The Chapter, seeks 3 new members for a 3-year term beginning February 2027. Monthly meetings, occasional emails, and being out front as representatives of our parish and volunteers for occasional special projects is required.

Nominees must be regular in worship and be financial donors of record. To nominate yourself or someone else (with their permission), or if you have questions, email: Office@TrinityCathedral.com.

Thanksgiving Breakfast Donation Request

We have started planning for this year's Thanksgiving and Christmas morning breakfasts. We will offer our traditional pancake breakfast to help our Central Phoenix neighbors facing housing and other challenges. Volunteers prepare and serve the meal, but we do spend roughly $1,000 to purchase the food and supplies. If you would like to donate please indicate your donation by putting “ THANKSGIVING BREAKFAST” in the memo line. Thank you for making this event possible! Hemos comenzado a planificar los desayunos de la mañana de Acción de Gracias y Navidad de este año. Cathedral Open on November 3

On Election Day, our sanctuary will be open and staffed by prayer partners from 9am - 7pm who will be here to pray for our nation, for free and fair elections, for all to be able to vote easily, for our poll workers’ safety, and that we will find ways to unite even amongst our many differences. Come by anytime to join in the prayers.

La catedral estará abierta el 3 de noviembre

El día de las elecciones, nuestro santuario estará abierto y contará con la presencia de compañeros de oración de 9:00 a. m. a 7:00 p. m., quienes estarán aquí para orar por nuestra nación, por elecciones libres y justas, para que todos puedan votar sin dificultades, por la seguridad de nuestros trabajadores electorales y para que encontremos formas de unirnos a pesar de nuestras muchas diferencias. Congratulations, Deacon Myra!

Deacon Myra was made an Honorary Canon of the Diocese of Arizona on Saturday at our annual Diocesan Convention. Only 2 people were chosen out of the whole diocese for their outstanding contributions to the Diocese! We are so proud!

Tierra y Vida

Tierra y Vida brings together Mexican and Chicano perspectives in a compelling exhibition by artists Mónica Gisel and Martín Moreno.

Mónica Gisel uses painting and printmaking to explore spirituality, migration, identity, and ancestral memory. She is a Mexican-born, Zapotec-descended artist and educator. As an artist-in-residence for various institutions and organizations, Gisel has developed her passion for community engagement. She has illustrated books and magazines and has participated in three anthologies as both a writer and illustrator.

Martín Moreno's work honors the dignity of labor, oral tradition, family, and the enduring relationship between people and the land. Moreno is widely recognized as an inspirational figure in the Chicano Art Movement. His artistic contributions have been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions. Moreno was awarded the Arizona Governor’s Arts Award in 2011 for his enduring impact on arts and education.

«Tierra y Vida» aúna las perspectivas mexicana y chicana en una exposición cautivadora de los artistas Mónica Gisel y Martín Moreno.

Mónica Gisel utiliza la pintura y el grabado para explorar la espiritualidad, la migración, la identidad y la memoria ancestral. Es una artista y educadora nacida en México y de ascendencia zapoteca. Como artista residente en diversas instituciones y organizaciones, Gisel ha desarrollado su pasión por la participación comunitaria. Ha ilustrado libros y revistas y ha participado en tres antologías tanto como escritora como ilustradora.

La obra de Martín Moreno rinde homenaje a la dignidad del trabajo, la tradición oral, la familia y la relación perdurable entre las personas y la tierra. Moreno es ampliamente reconocido como una figura inspiradora en el Movimiento Artístico Chicano. Sus contribuciones artísticas han sido presentadas en numerosas publicaciones y exposiciones. Moreno recibió el Premio de las Artes del Gobernador de Arizona en 2011 por su impacto duradero en las artes y la educación.

We pray for peace,

for goodwill among nations, and for the well-being of all people. We pray for our President and for the Congress, the Cabinet, and the Supreme Court. We pray for justice and peace, particularly in Gaza, Israel, Iran, Lebanon, and in Ukraine & Russia, in Sudan and in the Congo, and in our United States.

We ask your prayers for the poor,

the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison. We pray for the people of Nepal, immigrants who are afraid in our nation, and those who are unemployed or underemployed.

We commend to your mercy all who have died, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom.

We pray in gratitude for the safe births of Trey & Carter to Ashley & Derrius this week!
