Vermont Senior High School Tennis Players
Vermont’s Graduating High School Players
Division 1 & Division 2
Vermont’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak across the state was swift and decisive. In addition to the March 23rd “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order emptying schools, businesses, and neighborhoods, all sporting events across the state were delayed or canceled outright. This meant spring sports players at the college, high school, and recreational levels never enjoyed the excitement of the 2020 season.

For graduating high school students, this was a bitter blow. Those moving on to college athletics were denied a final season in which to defend titles, demonstrate improvement, or compete against fellow Vermonters. All players, coaches, and their families experienced this profound disappointment.

We at USTA Vermont are committed to athletes of all ages. We sincerely sympathize with those young tennis players who trained body and mind to meet the challenges of the 2020 D1 or D2 high school tennis season but were not permitted to play. This issue celebrates those young tennis players who will be moving on.
Boys Division 1
Tight competition in Boys Division 1 Tennis has brought the 2020 graduating players wins, losses, and growth from season to season. While unable to compete in Spring 2020, these boys will remember the friendships, challenges, and hard-won battles. Congratulations to BD1 graduating senior tennis players!
Girls Division 1
Each year tight matches are played throughout Vermont in Girls Division 1 competition. The South Burlington Wolves and the CVU Redhawks have met in Division Finals every year since 2013, so the legacy graduating players leave behind presents a tough challenges to rising singles and doubles lineups. Learn more about those players who lost their final chance to compete against their fellow Vermonters!
Girls Division 2
Girls Division 2 Tennis was filled with great competitive play over the last four years. Peek inside to learn more about the graduating players from Woodstock, Montpelier, Bellows Falls, U32, and Harwood Union!
