There’s something about a mild February in Wisconsin that lifts everyone’s spirits…and we’re feeling that lift at Family Sharing of Ozaukee County. Our pantry continues to serve neighbors with care and respect, and our resale boutique is buzzing with activity and purpose. As we continue our mission to alleviate hunger in Ozaukee County with dignity and compassion, we are reminded that it truly takes all of us.
Whether you give, volunteer, shop, or simply spread the word, you are helping ensure that every neighbor who walks through our doors is met with kindness and hope. We are excited for the months ahead and all the opportunities to continue serving together.
We’re in the process of making some changes in the building - mostly behind the scenes. We are crammed into this building, utilizing every nook at cranny, so we’re always looking for ways to be efficient and make the most of the space we have. Next week we have a crew coming in to subdivide our conference room and breakroom/storage space to create additional office space to give staff dedicated places to focus and provide a comfortable, private space to meet with new pantry clients. Upstairs, we’re shifting our layout to improve sorting, organizing, and pricing of donations. We’re especially excited to create a warmer, brighter space for our Toy Department volunteers as they tackle puzzles and games, and we’ve carved out room for off-season sporting goods as well.
Did you know there is an “upstairs” in our building?? 😉
