Year End

Please submit all transactions to Kim Meigs by June 15, 2026, for the Foundation to close out the 2025-2026 fiscal year. IMPORTANT: When making deposits in June and July please indicate on the Deposit Worksheet if the funds being deposited should go towards the 2025-2026 school year or the 2026-2027 school year. Be extra careful when reviewing and reconciling your final June statement. This statement will establish your carry-over balance for the 2026-27 fiscal year.

Help Showcase What Makes DCSD Great!

Share Your Positive Experiences!

We know how much pride you take in supporting your individual school, and we’d love your help in sharing that enthusiasm with future DCSD families.

Online platforms like Niche.com and GreatSchools.org are where many families look when choosing a school community.

By leaving a review about your positive school experiences, you can help showcase the great work happening in our DCSD schools and highlight the dedication of our DCSD staff, students and families.

Here’s how you can help:

1.   Visit Niche.com or GreatSchools.org

2.   Search for your school’s name.

3.   Click “Write a Review” and share what makes your school special (programs, teachers, community spirit or events that stand out).

Your words make a difference! Honest, positive reviews help strengthen our district reputation and attract more families to our wonderful district. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community and for helping spread the word about what makes our schools great!

Help Us Spread the Word!

Would you be willing to share information about DCSEAC with your school community through your PTO efforts? Here are simple ways to help:

1. Add a blurb about us in some of your regularly scheduled email communications to families. You can pull text straight from our website or use the flyer to the right. Even sharing this is great: “A resource for Special Education Families www.dcseac.org”

2. Share us as a resource on your social media platforms.

3. Include some of our printed materials at your PTO table or resource sharing center. We can also drop off printed flyers at your school.

We look forward to partnering with you to support Special Education Families across the District. Thank you for your help!

The Douglas County Special Education Advisory Committee is a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) group of parent volunteers whose mission is to support all DCSD students receiving Special Education services and their families.

The Foundation for Douglas County Schools coordinates the Lend A Hand School Supply Drive every summer, with the goal of collecting, purchasing, assembling and distributing backpacks and school supplies to students in need. This annual school supply drive is in its 16th year! The Foundation distributes over 1,500 backpacks annually. Support the Lend A Hand School Supply Drive with a drive in your school, business, neighborhood or community!

Lend A Hand ensures that every student starting the 2026-2027 school year will have the supplies they need to help them be successful in school.
