Science Olympiad (SRVSO) 2025
Live Oak's 4th grade students recently participated in the San Ramon Valley Science Olympiad 2025 (SRVSO), a team-based STEM competition designed to promote hands-on, inquiry-based learning for elementary students. The SRVSO fosters a fun and competitive environment, focusing on scientific processes, knowledge, and application.
Congratulations to Live Oak’s 4th grade team (Flaming Hot STAARS) - Advait A, Aria M, Riya M, Siddharth S, Sruthi N, Tashvi K. Our team showed remarkable commitment and skill by securing an impressive 11th place out of 43 participating teams from the district.
Their specific accomplishments include:
- Overall 11th place in SRVSO
- 2nd place in Propeller propulsion build project by Siddharth S and Advait

FIRST LEGO League Explore 2024-25
A team of five Live Oak third grade students participated in the FIRST LEGO League Explore Challenge 2024-25 under the theme ’Submerged’. The team, with the support of parent coaches, explored the ocean’s many mysteries and created the creature ‘Drago Branch’ using lego and coding showcasing the creature’s response to color and sound. They were awarded the Core Values Award, as their project aptly displayed discovery, inclusion, innovation, teamwork, impact, and fun.
Congratulations to the Ferocious Fish! They truly displayed hardwork, dedication, teamwork and confidence at the tournament.

Live Oak PTA is proud to announce the 2025 Spring Carnival. We have loads of fun events in store for you.

4.30pm-7.30pm - BBQ food truck with Rice, cucumber/tomato salad & sapasui(noodles W/veggies) for vegetarian options along with bbq chicken and Kalua pork(Smokey flavor shred pork).Menchies Boba teas and froyo also will be available for purchase.

6-6.30 - Ethnic fashion show in the amphitheater. Sign up to partcipate

- 5.30-7.30 - We will also have some exciting spring carnival games and our popular cotton candy stall for everyone.

Truck Time 2025 – Tickets on Sale Now!
Turn imagination into real life! This fun, interactive, outdoor family festival encourages children (and their adults) to explore the trucks and vehicles they see around them all the time, and maybe some they've never seen before.
Saturday, May 17th, 9:00 am to 1:00pm

PTA Advocacy Day 2025
Join us for an informative day of learning and essential discussion about how the recent changes in our political leadership will affect California, our education system, and our students.

Superintendents Panel: Panelists will discuss how they are managing funding uncertainties and prioritizing student programs. State and Federal Legislators: State legislators will discuss how they are upholding California State Constitutional values while navigating new federal mandates, and federal legislators will share their perspectives on the federal legislative process and efforts to secure and protect education funding.
