The Aerospace Expo offers the classic Daily Airshow, two spectacular Night Airshows, 500+ exhibitors, a variety of aircraft displays, youth activities, etc. We are thrilled to offer a variety of programming throughout the week, including The Hangar, Victory's Arsenal Theatre, hands-on Workshops, Forums, and more!

During the Fly-in, a TV monitor in the Press Tent will display a schedule for the day, a schedule for the next day, and a QR code that leads to a resource site with SUN ‘n FUN logos, SUN ‘n FUN press releases, Daily Schedule, and press releases from other entities.

We are proud to offer a facility that addresses the needs and comfort of the media representatives working at SUN ‘n FUN. While the center offers a spacious facility, it remains reserved for those with SUN ʼn FUN media credentials only and press conference representatives. 

Our Press venue offers many features including:

• AIR CONDITIONING
• WiFi coverage in the exhibit areas. WiFi coverage on the airfield may be degraded.
• An expanded dedicated work area with available power.
• A dedicated Press Conference Area which is also available for podcasts, interviews, etc. 
• A “Chill-out” area to relax and unwind. 
• Coffee provided by Legendary Aviation Coffee throughout the week.

Aviation Week Photo Contest director Mike Lavitt and KelbyOne.com instructor and 3-time #1 place Aviation Week Photo Contest winner Erik Kuna will share with photographers at Sun ‘n Fun how to take prize-winning photos in their Shoot-to-Win seminar on Wednesday, April 2nd at 10 a.m. The session will be held in the Library of the Florida Air Museum on the SUN ‘n FUN grounds at Lakeland Linder International Airport in Lakeland, Florida.

Lavitt will explain the photo contest’s categories and tell attendees what judges look for as they screen hundreds of candidates to select fewer than 20 winners. Erik, a repeat winner in multiple categories, will give tips on techniques on Airshow photography and what to look for as a photographer when you’re shooting to win. Attendees will also get a coupon code to enter up to five photos in this year's Aviation Week photo contest for free, as well as a free course on airshow photography from KelbyOne.com

Creative Photography Techniques for Capturing an Airshow

Make your airshow photos more creative and engaging for your audience! Join Erik Kuna, KelbyOne.com photography instructor and award-winning Aviation photographer, at the SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo as he shares his favorite techniques for telling a story and going beyond just sharp jets, prop blur, and static planes. In this class, you’ll learn how to add motion, include the human element, find frames, use neutral density filters, change perspectives, and so much more! By the end of the class, you’ll have a new toolset for intentionally adding creative elements to your photos to tell the story of the dynamic environment at an Airshow better.
