Gospel Invasion Meeting:

January 21st was the first Gospel Invasion meeting ever. A Gospel Invasion is an event held at a non sporting event.

Seven evangelists who lead SFOI Events without me being at the event and I are meeting to discuss how we can labor together to mobilize more evangelists.

We discussed how SFOI can take care of all the administrative details so they can focus on recruiting evangelists and leading the event.

Lord willing this time of year will be the date for the annual Gospel Invasion meeting. Twenty evangelists leading events without me is the first goal. Twenty events with at least 10 evangelists is 200 evangelists. That's the goal.
SFOI 1000:

SFOI 1000 Chairman Alex Burt and I discussed recently how to mobilize more evangelists at Pro and College Football games. The initial plan is to organize the US into 5 regions and recruit co-leaders for each region. This is another exciting development as Alex is continuing in this role and is motivated to take action to mobilize more evangelists.

Gasparilla Festival:

The annual Gasparilla Festival was held in Tampa, FL on Saturday, January 28. Amazing crowds turned out for this one day festival. You can see the tweets below from the Tampa PD saying they expect attendance at 300,000 - 500,000.

Legend has it Gasparilla was a pirate who invaded the city. This 'invasion' seen in the ships in the harbor is what creates the immense party. There is a parade along Bayshore Blvd that generates a huge street party where we normally set up to preach and minister. The picture on the bottom right shows Doc preaching on Bayshore. My camera battery was essentially dead so I couldn't get but a picture and FB video. But there was enormous numbers of souls passing by this location all day 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

I started the day in front of Curtis Hixon park on the downtown side of the water where concerts were to be held all day. As usual I have thought about hosting an event at Gasparilla and wanted to see what this side of the event held. It was a good spot and where Chris and his team from Sarasota showed to minister. You can see them on the bottom left.

There were probably, if you count all the preachers including those not with us, 30 - 40 spread out throughout the parade route. Amazing day!

Giving:

This coming weekend, Feb 9 -12, begins a six event sprint.

Listed next are the events with the present number of committed evangelists, next the number of evangelists we are still recruiting and last the total evangelists Lord willing that will participate.

Super Bowl (97-3=100), NBA All-Star Weekend (7-2=9),
St. Pete Grand Prix (9-1=10), Final Four (3-5=8),
Miami Grand Prix (1-7=8) and Kentucky Derby (1-19=20).

Would you please "Sponsor A Saint" to attend one or more of the events? Each evangelist represents more souls hearing the Gospel and being ministered to in the moment. If you click on the link below you will see all of the events listed on the next page.

For each event attorney Nate Kinard is contacting the local authorities to insure our presence is legally protected. The letter Nate prepares for us to carry with us at the event costs roughly $1,000 each. Would you donate towards this work? Scroll down the page to see the options to give.
Thank you Greetings! for your partnership into the New Year! The Lord is working and let's press forward in faith to join Him in His 'mighty work'.
