MUNROE CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Summer Appeal

It is generous donors like you that allow us to keep the creative wheels turning here at the Munroe Center for the Arts all year long.

This year marks Munroe’s 30th year of summer camp, with the Center and our partner schools preparing to celebrate 40 years of teaching. Last year we served 1656 children, youth, and adults with arts education in visual and performing arts. Several hundred more visitors participated in events including our GrandparentsDay workshop, Mayday Festival, our first annual Youth Holiday Market, as well as numerous gallery receptions and artist networking events.

In the year ahead we look forward to strong arts education programming plus exciting new events as we partner with LEX250 in commemorating the Battle of Lexington. Watch for details on our September Bikeway Block Party, a town-wide Illumination Night in January, and the arrival of a life-sized painted horse sculpture in the front yard later this summer.

As a Lexington leader in arts education and enrichment, we are constantly developing new ways to showcase the value and joy that the arts bring to our lives. You play an important part in ensuring that we fulfill our missionto inspire, engage, and nurture students, artists, audiences, and our community in their creative explorations.

I’m sure that you can appreciate that it takes a lot to keep Munroe’s machine of creativity and expression running every day, every season. On behalf of the Munroe Center for the Arts, we ask that you begin or continue your support with a contribution today to see our fiscal year out strong. Your gift of $1000, $500, $250 (or any amount) is an investment in innovative and nurturing opportunities in the arts, a signal of your commitment to our community.
