NOVEMBER 2026 NEWSLETTER

THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL

The month of November is shaping up to provide experiences for Gibault children to count their blessings, be thankful for meaningful things, and grateful for the support and guidance they each receive at Gibault Children's Services. Recently, a resident stated, "I am very thankful to be able to share special time with staff like today, at this really nice luncheon, with our Knight guests." Providing life-changing experiences for Gibault children is the common thread that brings the campus together in order for the children to achieve their personal goals. During this special month, Gibault Children's Services would like to take this moment to share its sincere thankfulness and gratefulness for the Knights of Columbus and all the special friends and donors that make Gibault's existence possible. For over 100 years, life-changing opportunities that have been provided have been beyond our expectations. Happy Thanksgiving!

Knights of Columbus from Angola and West Lafayette coordinated their schedules to tour our Terre Haute Campus together and have a lasagna lunch with our girls. Please call Melissa Reed at 812-298-3030 if you would like to book a date to stop by either the Terre Haute Campus or Northwest Gibault Campus today!

Director of Residential Services Danny Coulston and Supervisor of Independent Living Krista Holt were presented with a Gibault Coin by CEO Michele Madley and Board of Trustee Chair Steve Lutz. The Gibault Coin is a symbol of the dedication the recipients show in providing life-changing opportunities for children, adults, families and communities.

TRUNK OR TREAT

TERRE HAUTE HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS

Trunk or treat at the Terre Haute Campus went without a scare! Or did it?

Fund Development was able to provide a haunted house for the children thanks to a Knights of Columbus generous donation. The fun day also included staff, employees, and community members providing decorated trunks and candy. Be sure to check out Terre Haute Campus' clever trunk themes at

Gibault Children's Services Facebook.

ANNUAL GIBAULT NORTHWEST CELBRATION

Gibault Children’s Services Northwest Campus experienced Halloween fun for their annual Trunk or Treat! Games, chili, hot dogs and candy was provided by staff, Knights of Columbus, and community members. Gibault children enjoyed the celebration with a plethora of candy and laughs!

As always, Gibault Children's Services appreciates the annual participation to provide this experience for the children. Without you, they wouldn't

be able to celebrate such a fun holiday!

SANTA KNIGHT HAS BEEN BUSY

Gibault Children's Services Santa and a fellow Knight have been hard at work preparing for the season. However, he took some time away to participate in a Gibault Fundraiser making "Goetta" to serve to attendees. This delicious German breakfast sausage is a special treat that everyone enjoyed! Thank you for continuing to support Gibault children behind the scenes to ensure they receive life-changing opportunities!

CHRISTMAS AROUND THE CORNER

Gibault Client Care Managers have begun collecting wish lists from youth at both our Gibault Northwest Campus and Terre Haute Campus for the 2026 Christmas Wish List Program.

This statewide wish list includes all five territories across Indiana, ensuring that boys and girls throughout Gibault have the opportunity to receive items that meet their individual needs and interests. With a variety of thoughtful gifts and exciting toys, we hope to make Christmas extra special for every child and bring a little more magic to the holiday season!

Please deliver all gifts to campus by December 11, 2026. If you have any questions or to schedule pickup, please contact Melissa Reed at 812-298-3030.

PICKLEBALL FUN

We look forward to providing a pickleball opportunity to the Terre Haute Campus. The countdown is on and we are so close to our goal!

Adding pickleball as an extracurricular activity will enhance treatment services by giving youth opportunities to build self-confidence, improve focus, release energy, and manage stress through positive physical activity and social engagement.

GIBAULT BOARD OF TRUSTEE HIGHLIGHT

Steve Lutz, Gibault Children's Services Board of Trustee Chair, recently visited Oklahoma to be inducted into the 2026 Hall of Fame Class for the United States Field Artillery. This award emphasis Steve's service as a career soldier and Artilleryman; a significant professional, volunteer and contribution that demonstrates exceptional actions. This honor tops off Steve's military career, after retiring from the Army 26 years ago. Though this closes that chapter of Steve's life with the military, unexpected add-on for closure, his demonstration of lifelong services is a commitment Steve is proud to share. Congratulations, Steve! Gibault Children's Services is honored to have such a respectable and dedicated Board of Trustee Chair supporting life-changing opportunities for our children.
