Leadership Lakeville Month #2

In month 2 of Leadership Lakeville the class had their first professional development session with Bill Goodwin, owner Priority Living, focusing on their Working Genius. They toured the Lakeville Area Arts Center and Fine Arts Building, did some speed networking with each other (pro tip – AI is not always a perfect randomizer!) and met the Mayor and Councilmembers Bermel, Lee and Wolter. Special thank you to our class advisors – Amanda Brandt (Holiday Inn) and Baylee Lewis (Loeffler Construction & Consulting) and series sponsor, Loeffler Construction & Consulting. Shout out to Raising Cane’s for lunch!

State of the Schools 2025

Thank you to Superintendent Baumann for the information shared in this year’s State of the Schools address. ISD194 took it up a notch this year - adding the Lakeville South Encore singers and an impressive speech from Lakeville Senior, Alice Yi. CLICK HERE to see what we have been up to with the Lakeville Works program!

Named Scholarship Program

The Chamber Foundation is on year two of our named scholarship program. In 2025, we awarded $31,000 in scholarships, thanks to the members who donated scholarships to this new program. We are now collecting scholarship commitments for our 2026 awards. If you would like to donate a scholarship, please fill out this interest form and the Chamber will be in touch.

100% of your donation is given to the recipient.

Now Hiring

Know anyone looking? We have some great companies hiring! If you are currently hiring for any positions, email Kim so we highlight you!

Thank you teachers!

We continue making the rounds at our schools this year – thanking our teachers and sharing the ways we can partner with them to impact our next generation of workforce. Thank you to Hy-Vee for donating the treats and to Lakeview Bank for sponsoring the series!

Volunteer Opportunity

Yes, this is a request for January. DECA Districts are Friday, January 9th and they need LOTS of judges. I do this every year and it is a great way to give back – and it is not hard at all. Click the logo to see the judging options. This is a great thing to do with a co-worker or friend. Let me know if you have questions.
