We can't wait for the start of the season! Read on for summer job postings and registration updates. Earlier this week, we sent you our 2025 Membership Survey. To help guide the work that we do at the SLYC, we’re asking you to take a few minutes to complete our member survey. Your feedback is essential - it helps us understand what’s working well, where we can improve and how we can continue to make the SLYC a place you’re proud to be a part of. Applications Are Now Open for 2026 Junior Sailing Instructors

If you, or someone in your family, would like to become a SLYC Junior Sailing Instructor for Summer 2026, please submit a cover letter and resume to Dave Anderson.

Similar to last summer, we’ll be offering 5-7 week contracts, all starting at the beginning of July.

Membership Sign up and Program Registration

We're as excited as you are for summer and are pleased to announce that membership sign-up and program registration dates will be earlier for 2025. This year, you will be able to buy your annual SLYC membership starting on February 22 and sign up for sailing programs starting at 12pm EST on March 1. Watch the next newsletter for more information.



2025 Membership Survey

Planning for the upcoming summer season is underway, and we want your input! We’ve launched a brief and anonymous member survey to help guide decisions about programs, events, and priorities for this summer and beyond. Your responses will play an important role in shaping the future of our club, so we encourage every adult member to participate. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback!

SLYC is a family-friendly club with a strong sense of community, committed to providing excellent, sustainable sailing, tennis and social programs and events to meet the needs and wishes of our members.

Our volunteers and paid staff are dedicated to professional standards, which are achieved through effective leadership and skill development training, especially for younger members, to enhance their capabilities in their careers and community roles.
