April 2025 Newsletter

Greetings, Dear Jennifer!

From my desk and my heart, I send you balm, courage, and stamina.

Especially because the world seems to be rapidly changing in incomprehensible ways, TEALarbor stories continues to deepen how we hold space for creativity, soul nourishment, community building, and abiding interconnection with all beings.

One way I do this is by saying "yes" to invitations to present my work. I had a wonderful opportunity a few weeks ago to speak at the local Unitarian/Universalist church here on the island. (Read more & find the link to the sermon.)

Other ways I continue to broaden and deepen include ongoing learning, research and reading; offering courses and events; and collaborating with others locally and abroad. You'll see some of these below.

On Sunday Mar. 16th, I gave my sermon "Spiritual Life as an Ecotone" at Cedars Unitarian Universalist Church on Bainbridge Island. This talk focused on the potent inner/outer landscape: the intersection between who we feel we are internally and how we behave in the world. Read more and find the link to the full audio.

On Mar. 3rd we hosted our monthly Compassionate Spiritual Ecology Virtual Gathering. Those of us who attended had the opportunity to share deeply as we looked at the intersection of the CSE values of interconnectedness and reverence, and how these look in practice. Read more.

On Feb. 21st, our local Interfaith Climate Circle offered another Web of Life event. This one we titled: For the Love of Earth Re-membering Our Dependence on Soil. Read more.

Each morning, Feb. 4th – 6th, I offered Love, Serve, Abide: Spiritual Ecology as Lifestyle. I have been gifting interactive experiences to attendees of World Interfaith Harmony Week (A United Nations Official Observance) for a number of years now. Read more.

The Compassionate Spiritual Ecology Virtual Gathering occurred again on Feb. 3rd. We had a very full Zoom room of heart-centered, Earth-loving participants. Read more.

On Feb. 1st, I joined with my colleagues at the Interfaith Climate Circle to offer a Climate Cafe. This model of conversation follows that of the Death Cafes. Read more.
