AN EVENTFUL THANK YOU
You may have noticed all the fanfare around the 4th this year, and we want to thank Ellen Babers for leading the charge to wrangle Durango’s 4th of July celebrations! Ellen works in Community Events for the city of Durango and led a team consisting of BID, Durango Chamber of Commerce, La Plata County Fairgrounds and Events Center, and Visit Durango who planned all the 4th of July activities. Ellen has also helped BID make its own events successful, as well as doing the same for hundreds of other events in our community. Congratulations on a successful 4th, Ellen, and thank you for all that you do!

SURVEYING THE CITY
Keep an eye out for a City of Durango postcard that’s been mailed out to 3,000 city residents. The City is asking randomly selected households to complete a survey that captures opinions on a range of community issues, including the overall “livability” of Durango. Subjects covered include tax structures and city services provided. The public at large will also have an opportunity to be heard when an online survey goes live beginning on Jul 25. For more information, click here.
