| | IDEA: INCLUSION • DIVERSITY • EQUITY • ACTION | | National Hispanic Heritage Month September 15 to October 15 | |
From September 15 through October 15, National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the rich histories, cultures and contributions of Hispanic Americans. But did you know the observance originally began as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968? It was expanded to a month-long celebration in 1988, with September 15 chosen because it marks the anniversary of independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
For REALTORS®, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is also an opportunity to learn more about the communities we serve. Understanding our clients’ cultures, experiences and perspectives helps us build stronger relationships, provide better service and support the dream of homeownership for everyone.
Throughout the month, take some time to learn, listen, celebrate and discover new ways to better serve your clients and community.

NAR hopes you are finding these resources to be useful, and they encourage you to continue to distribute them to inquiring consumers so they are armed with the information they need as they begin working with an agent who is a REALTOR®.
