Our Administrative Council will meet this Sunday to vote on a budget for 2027. In order to most accurately project next year’s income, your pledge is essential. Click here to make your pledge. Thanks in advance to everyone who has made their financial commitments for next year!

Update: We already have 53 kids sponsored so we are already over halfway to our goal!

It's that time of year again! Community Christian Church & Parkhill Christian Church will be partnering together to sponsor the Christmas wish lists of 100 children/youth in foster care through Cornerstones of Care.

What you need to know:

  • Wishlists will be available in the Narthex at Community after each service
  • Wishlists will also be available at the Community Thanksgiving meal on November 8th.
  • We ask that you plan to purchase the wishlist in its entirety which commonly ranges from approximately $100-$150/child.
  • Final gift drop off will be Sunday, December 6th between 9am-11:30am
  • Gift drop off will also be available at Parkhill immediately following the 1pm service on Sunday, November 29th.
  • Gifts should be turned in unwrapped with their wishlist tag attached.
  • If you are not able to complete the shopping yourself, you are welcome to make a donation to the church and we will have "elves" shop on your behalf. Just let us know the dollar amount you will contribute and we'll get a wishlist assigned to a shopper.
  • Can't sponsor a wishlist? You can still help! We'll need shopper elves as well as volunteers to help us load and transport gifts to Cornerstones of Care on Sunday, December 6th immediately after the 10:30am service at Community.

Please reach out to Liz McCullough with any questions at (785)317-0790

A new exhibit has been installed in our Steeple of Light Art Gallery! Be sure to check out "The Road Home" presented by reStart Inc, featuring photos by Randy Bacon. Located above the Narthex!

The weather is getting cool again! As you go into your closets to see if coats still fit, please consider bringing anything that you can't use anymore to church for our annual coat drive. We're accepting all ages, genders, and sizes for Micah and JVS.

Micah has also passed along a specific need for men's heavy socks and men's underwear, so if you happen to grab a pack of either the next time you're at Costco (but not the one in Midtown) we'll accept those in our Justice and Mercy donation bin and make sure they get to the folks who need them. Thank you for doing justice and loving mercy in our community!

We’ll need help after the Morning Glory service to decorate the chapel, and then at 11:30am to put up the large Christmas trees, hang the wreaths, and other transitions to Advent. A light lunch will be provided at 11:45am and the Chiefs game will be on!

Dedicate the Steeple of Light

For $75 for a weeknight and $150 for a weekend, you can dedicate our Steeple of Light to shine in honor or memory of a loved one. Dedications are listed in our Friday email and on our social media channels as well as our pre-service slides.
