Kentucky Mesonet at WKU celebrates opening of new operations center
The Kentucky Mesonet at WKU celebrated the opening of a new operations center at the WKU Center for Research and Development on Monday morning.

The Kentucky Mesonet is the Commonwealth's weather and climate monitoring infrastructure with more than 70 stations serving communities throughout the state.

The new center greatly expands the Mesonet's capacity to serve the needs of Kentucky. In partnership with the National Weather Service, the Kentucky Mesonet helps to enhance public safety across the Commonwealth. Data is also available to support business and industry within weather-sensitive sectors of Kentucky's economy.
