The program will teach learners technical skills, soft skills, and offer the support they need to succeed. Generation USA collaborates with tech companies nation-wide to find out what roles are open. Then, Generation USA creates a learning experience that uses practical, hands-on learning in a fast-paced, online-first format to make learners’ credentials appealing to these employers.
Generation USA staff provides instructional support and career and life coaching during the program, based on students’ needs. And after students successfully complete the program, Generation USA, CORI, and Ada Jobs Foundation will assist them with the next phase of their career journey by helping them to find full-time employment, internships, apprenticeships, or continuing education. They'll also be part of a growing alumni network of graduates.
Ada is excited to be involved in Generation USA’s very first rural cohort model. Students will learn alongside others in the Ada area and three other rural communities across the US. Only 10-15 spots are available for Ada the area. Potential learners are encouraged to sign-up soon if they are interested. Eligibility requirements and details on enrollment can be found at https://usa.generation.org/ada-oklahoma. Applicants are required to be 18+ years of age with a high school diploma or GED to qualify for the program.
