| Re-Enrollment Now Open for 2026–2027 & Summer School | |
Dear AL Community,
Re-enrollment is now open for the 2026–2027 school year and Summer School. All current families must complete the online Enrollment Survey and required forms so we can plan staffing, transportation, and student support for next year.
Académie Lafayette uses the PowerSchool Parent Portal for registration. The process is fully online and must be completed for each student who plans to return.
Important deadlines:
- ALIHS students: February 8
- All other students: February 27
These forms also cover Summer School enrollment, when applicable.
What families need to do:
- Log in through the PowerSchool Parent Portal at academielafayette.org and complete all required enrollment forms.
- Submit the Enrollment Survey even if your student is not returning next year.
- Upload required documents, including updated immunization records (for PK, K, 8th, and 12th), medical plans if applicable, and proof of residency.
- Enrollment is not finalized until all forms and documents are approved.
New siblings: Please do not add new students in PowerSchool yet. All new siblings must first apply through schoolappkc.org and receive a seat offer after the March 4 lottery.
Families can click here to read the step-by-step instructions and full details can read the complete enrollment message.
If you have questions, contact Enrollment at enrollment@academielafayette.org or 816-888-8934. For PowerSchool technical support, email powerschool@academielafayette.org.
Thank you for completing re-enrollment promptly and helping us prepare for a strong year ahead.

A few parking reminders for Armour Families:
-
Do not drop off students or park in the bus zone on the West side of the school (Warwick Street, past the school parking lot gate). We need the space to safely unload our students in a timely manner.
-
Parents are asked not to park in the International Apartment Resident Parking area off McGee Street during arrival/dismissal. Residents pay for these assigned parking spaces and are currently unable to park due to parents waiting there for student pickup. Parents should use the free business parking lot, as the resident parking spaces must remain available for those who are assigned to them.
- Do not stop in the middle of the street to let students out of vehicles. We care about our students' safety!

| | Oak Orchard Wassail Party | | The Oak Wassail (pronounced Woss-uhl) is a lively orchard celebration (bénédiction des arbres) on the Oak Street side of the building, with singing, shared cider, and toasts, honoring apple trees to ensure abundant harvests in the future. Games and activities will also be provided for students to engage with our orchard and learn about seasonal nature topics. Sunday February 22nd from 1-3pm. Come build robots out of legos and program them to move, make sounds and react to colors with us at Cherry Campus! Our 3rd and 4th grade program is for getting their feet wet and trying something new. We do ask that 5th graders that sign up have a genuine interest in robotics.
Sign up for the seat lottery by midnight on February 22nd. Space is limited. Scholarships are available.
Our elementary club is run entirely by parent (and grandparent!) volunteers. As a benefit for volunteering, your student will be guaranteed a seat in robotics! Sign up to get more information about volunteering.
Oak Families: Robotics is run at the Oak campus in the fall semester so keep an eye on the Friday Newsletters.

Four of seven AL girls playing on a softball team together were able to attend the big announcement of the new women's pro softball team, the Diamonds. Those 4th and 5th grade AL girls represent both campuses. This was real special as KC was awarded a franchise team in the first real pro leagues forming. The reason our girls were invited is because they are the youngest club team under the pro team's youth develop program. These girls each are 1 of 12 in the whole city! Let's hear it for Allison R., Auvy S., Fallon B., Mae H., Myrin J., Georgia M., and Adalyn S.! Click here and here to learn more.
| | Volunteer to Read at Cherry for Black History Month | | |
Cherry is seeking volunteers to read with our K–5 students and share their knowledge, experiences, and passion for storytelling. To support our volunteers, our school librarian will select and vet all books in advance, ensuring they are age-appropriate and aligned with our celebration. Your presence and voice can have a powerful impact, fostering curiosity, representation, and a lifelong appreciation for reading among our students.
Please click here to sign up. Thank you for your consideration and continued support of our school community!

Auction Item Solicitation Volunteers Needed! | | |
We need YOU to join the Evening in Paris Auction Solicitation Team!
All materials are prepared - we just need helping hands to reach out to local businesses. With nearly 200 businesses still waiting for a volunteer, even a small effort makes a big difference. Many hands make light work, and since the auction is the heart of our event, your help will truly make it shine!
Have a unique item or experience to donate? Community Parties (Wine Walk, Shrimp Boil, Survivor) or special items, like last year’s lab-created diamond studs, add excitement and make the event even more memorable.
Contact Hollie Vogel if interested, hvogel@academielafayette.org.
