YMSL, Magnolia Ultimate Gift Project

On a very cold day in January, members of the Young Men’s Services League (YMSL), Magnolia, came to our village brimming with enthusiasm to support Angel Reach as recipient of their “Ultimate Gift” Project.

During the project, the young men and their moms worked together to build three raised garden beds, refresh our outdoor space with new furniture and planters, and do a lot of maintenance landscaping around our duplexes. The results were incredible! This transformation will be enjoyed for years and shows the true spirit of service that both groups share.

YMSL’s Ultimate Gift is a yearly, multi-day project aimed at making a big and lasting impact for a chosen organization. We are truly honored that Angel Reach was selected to receive this amazing gift.

Did you know?

Many of the young people we work with have used substances to cope with trauma and difficult pasts. Recovery is not easy; it takes courage, support and relentless determination. This month, we’re celebrating a young person who has been substance-free for two years. We’re very proud of this achievement and thankful for the bravery it shows.

Healing is possible. And it’s happening with our Youth.

Board Retreat and Strategic Planning

Angel Reach is truly fortunate to have such a dedicated and engaged board. Recently, our Board members and their supportive spouses took part in a Strategic Planning Retreat, where they worked hard to create a 3-year plan to provide life-changing services to youth in our community. Thank you, to all our Board members for your commitment and excellent leadership!

Angel Reach Youth meet Dalton Schultz

Thanks to Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz, Angel Reach was blessed to receive tickets to Houston Texans games. In January, our youth were even able to meet him and thank him in person!

It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our youth and staff got to attend an NFL game and had the amazing chance to meet Dalton during the pregame warmups.

What an Experience. What a Game. What a Memory.

Angel Reach’s core mission was formed with the desire to break the generational cycle of abuse, neglect, and homelessness by equipping aged-out foster youth and homeless youth to live independently as well as providing critical services and support to relatives doing their best to keep children out of the foster care system.
