We Help Families Start Over

Hello New Life Warehouse Friends! Happy Valentines! We have a busy month ahead of us. We will make weekend deliveries on the 14th and 28th, and we will have Volunteer Appreciation Week from February 9th to the 14th. This is a great chance to come see the warehouse and learn more about how you can become part of the NLW family. We also have an Open House coming up in April, and a family friendly fundraiser at Horsepower for Kids on May 3rd. We hope you will invite all of your friends and family. Thank you all for your prayers and support as we continue to Help Families Start Over.

Thank You RNR Tire Express

RNR Tire Express started off 2026 with a bang! They had their corporate team building event at New Life Warehouse in early January and they came out in full force! Around 60 team members came to the warehouse to help serve families in need. They built 25 dressers, delivered furniture to four local families, and painted decor for children's rooms.

Thank you RNR Tire Express for funding the mission of NLW and serving with us! We are forever grateful for your faithful and generous support.

I Can't Stop Praising God

NLW Volunteers made nearly 70 deliveries in the month of January. Among the families we helped was a young single father named 'Jordan' who had just gotten custody of his small children. His life circumstances changed in the blink of an eye and he had to find a new place to live. When he got the keys to his small one-bedroom apartment he had nothing. After his referral was accepted our screeners called him to determine how we could best serve him. Here's what he shared after the call:

"My week has been so much better after our phone call. I can’t stop praising God for this opportunity and blessing you guys are willing to do for me. I’m so appreciative. I will keep you updated when I officially get the keys. I was going to clean the apartment tonight so I’m ready for you guys tomorrow morning."

Volunteer Family Becky, Jeremiah and Josiah Scott made the delivery to Jordan and said it was wonderful: "Great delivery yesterday helping a single parent starting over. So blessed to help and grateful for all the people that donate to make this happen. If you are looking for a great place to donate household items you no longer need, New Life Warehouse volunteers deliver to families starting over."

Volunteers Matthew Dawes and Cameron Spence also had a moving delivery. They delivered to a man recovering from homelessness whose mother is in ministry. Matthew noted "That was a nice delivery. The guy was smiling nonstop at the end. And he called his mom and she prayed over us."

We serve an awesome God who not only blesses the families we serve, but also the volunteers who sacrifice to make this happen. We are praying God would send more workers for the harvest.

Volunteer Appreciation Week

Would you like to become more involved with New Life Warehouse? Do you have gifts and talents you can share? Would you like to learn more about ways to serve? Well we have opportunities for everyone, new and seasoned, to come learn more about the ministry during our Volunteer Appreciation Week.

On Monday we have New Volunteer Orientation and Delivery Training at 6pm and 6:30pm.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we have New Volunteer Orientations in the morning at 9am, followed by chances to learn about fixing furniture, sorting, toy training, and staging.

You don't need to register in advance. Just stop on by and learn more about how you can get plugged in. See the calendar above and our website for more details.

Volunteer Spotlight - Mitch Barr

Mitch Barr is one of many faithful volunteers who deliver on Saturdays. He shows up bright and early on Saturday morning ready to set up a home for a deserving family. He even bought a new truck, knowing he could use it at the warehouse!

He is especially fond of delivering to families with babies and is extremely handy with putting together cribs and bunkbeds. If something’s broken on a delivery, he’ll figure out a way to fix it. He does everything with excellence and wants every family to feel loved and cared for. Here's what he shared after a recent delivery:

"Sweet family who Chris and I had the pleasure of serving on behalf of the Lord and NLW this morning. Very kind, appreciative, helpful and ADORABLE kids. 'Maria' whispered to me in near tears before leaving that this will be the first night in 3 years she's slept on a bed and how grateful she was. God bless you all. May He continue to richly use you to serve the needs of our community."

Thank you Mitch, for being such an integral part of our NLW family. We couldn’t do it without faithful volunteers like you.

Become a Monthly Donor

Did you know New Life Warehouse purchases items each month to supplement the donated furniture and household goods we receive, in order to make sure each family gets what they need to start over? Sometimes we don't have enough pots and pans, pillows, or bedding, so we purchase items to help our families. If you become a monthly partner, you will be helping local families who are transitioning out of homelessness to reduce the cycle of poverty.

How can I help?

  • $25 a month provides pillows and bedding for a family in need.

  • $50 a month provides kitchen items for a whole home.

  • $100 a month provides a bed for a child who is sleeping on the floor.

Waste Not, Want Not

When we moved into the Oldsmar warehouse in May 2024, the 10,000 sq ft building was completely barren and empty. At the time I remember thinking we could never fill all of that space! Well, I was wrong....=). Between the donated furniture we pick up weekly, and items that are dropped off at the warehouse, we conservatively estimate that more than 150 TONS of donations are received each year. That's 150 tons of items that are not dumped in the landfills. Instead, they're lovingly repurposed and given to families who have nothing. That's what we call a win-win!
