For Parents, Guardians, and Other Caregivers

We all know that the digital world? It's like the Wild West. It's worth venture into it's depths, yes. But there's danger out there. There are things that we should know. And this is especially true when it comes to children and youth.

This Thursday, April 9 at 9:00 am PACT is hosting a Digital Safety Workshop. Come be a part of this important event.

RSVP to Jeanne Ackerman at jeanne@pactfacmily.org.

Inspired by the lives of saints like Francis and Martin or Tours and Therese and Catherine, St. John’s Hero Academy VBS invites children to consider how following Jesus’ call to love and serve others is the most heroic thing of all. Children will create projects in the Hero Maker Design Studio, play high-energy games in the Gamer’s Gauntlet, hear stories of the faithful in the Hero Archives, and relax with a treat or two and the Holy Hero Caf?. All the while, they will discover that we can indeed serve like the saints!

This year, we are partnering with the 3^rd Street Boys and Girls Club once more and hope to show God’s love and care to even more children than last year! But this means that WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you're a parent or guardian and you would like to volunteer to help with VBS, read the volunteer descriptions HERE. Then sign up next to your desired work area with your name and availability HERE.

Get ready to be part of the most exciting and impactful ministry of the year at St. John's—Vacation Bible School! 🌟

Join us right after worship on Sunday, April 12, for a special VBS sneak peek in the Parish Hall. Whether you're an adult or a 6th-12th grader, if you're looking to volunteer for the best week of the summer, this is the perfect opportunity!

You'll learn all about the different ways you can serve, discover the exciting plans we have for VBS, and commit to helping us share the love of Christ with children and their families in a fun, meaningful way.

Have questions or need more info? Reach out to Sam—we'd love to hear from you!

We can’t wait to see you there! 🙌

For Children

O Lord Jesus Christ, you took children into your arms and blessed them:

We pray you to keep our children ever enfolded by your love. Help them to grow in love of you; save them from evil; strengthen them against the impulse of self-will; inspire in them a high sense of truth and of the duty of human service; and give them grace to follow day by day in the steps of your most holy life.

Amen.
