Chaperones Needed for Model UN Conference
Our ICS Model UN team is attending the one-day Bellevue Model UN conference on Saturday March 23 rd , and parent chaperones are needed.  This is a local conference at Chinook Middle School, and chaperones will receive about 13 volunteer hours for their day of volunteering!  All chaperones must have their LWSD volunteer approval.   If you are interested in chaperoning,  please contact the ICS MUN .
Community Building Needs a Chairperson or Co-Chairs
Our Community Building Committee supports our core ICS founding principles by helping to build a strong connection between school, family and community.  Simply put, this committee is all about planning fun events!  For example, they typically plan an ice breaker event in the fall for incoming 6th grade families and set up other social events for families throughout the year.

At this time , the committee is in need of a chairperson (or two people willing to share the role as co-chairs) for the remainder of the year.  Activities would include helping to organize an event for 9 th  graders and families that is already on the calendar for March, organizing a social event open to all ICS families, and exploring social activities and events from past years to determine what has been enjoyed and successful.  Please contact our ICS VP of Community and Facilities,  Casey Engstrom , if you are interested in learning more about this position!
