INCOMING STORM UPDATE
We have been closely monitoring the incoming storm. The forecast in our immediate area predicts significant wind and rainfall throughout the day on Friday.

We do expect to hold school as scheduled tomorrow, 3/10.

Please drive safely to and from campus, and be sure to stay tuned to your email in case the school needs to communicate any significant changes to school operations due to weather.

FAMILY SURVEY REMINDER
This week all families received a request from Head of School Ron Cino to take a survey. As part of our strategic planning work, we are seeking to understand how we are known and valued in the context of the independent school landscape. We have engaged Generation, a branding and communications firm for non-profits, to help us collect and analyze opinions from our community. So that we can better understand how you view Laguna Blanca and its programs, we appreciate your help in completing this brief, confidential 10-15 minute survey.

DRESS DOWN DAY IS NEXT THURSDAY, MARCH 16!
Our St. Patrick’s Dress Down Day will be held a day earlier due to the all-school Field Day event scheduled for Friday, March 17. Students may come to school 3/16, dressed in clothing that shows off our St. Patrick’s Day theme.
FIELD DAY DETAILS
Gr. EK-12 Field Day
Friday, March 17

Students should arrive at Lower School in the morning at the usual time with a water bottle and a healthy snack in a disposable container. A pizza lunch will be provided for all students.

Please dress your child in the Field Day t-shirt (we will send it home with students on Thursday), athletic shorts/pants, athletic shoes, and socks, along with sunscreen and a hat, if sun protection is needed. Students will have their morning snack at Lower School. At 10:30, we will board transportation and meet the Middle and Upper School students on the Hope Ranch athletic fields. After the event, students will enjoy a pizza lunch.

Dismissal for all Laguna students is 12:45PM from the Hope Ranch campus. There is no school after the event. The After School Care program is not available on this day. Please plan now for childcare.
NEXT WEEK IS LAST CALL FOR LOST OUTERWEAR
Our lost bins are overflowing with unlabeled outerwear. Please note that if items are not claimed before spring break, they will be donated to a local thrift store. For your convenience, bins will be placed on the main house front porch March 13-16, and parents can check for lost items before or after school. The last day to check for your student’s lost outerwear is Thursday, March 16 (date change from March 17 due to Field Day at Hope Ranch). Thank you for your help!
