TO BE THE BODY OF CHRIST:
READ, MARK, AND INWARDLY DIGEST
Dear faithful people of Saint Peter’s Church:

We’re almost, but not quite, into the “ordinary’ Sundays after the Epiphany. This Sunday, we will bring 2019’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity to a close. Next Sunday will be the 40th day after Christmas, aka, Candlemas, and we will celebrate the Presentation of Jesus, bring an end to all liturgical matters that draw us back toward Christmas and, with Jesus and the disciples, move inexorably toward Lent, Holy Week, and Easter.

At our 10:00 a.m. Forum this Sunday, Ro Baker will begin a two-week discussion of Transgender Issues. At the 11:00 a.m. Mass, we will bid Farewell and Godspeed to Tom and Kathy Schmidt as they prepare to move to Chicago. At Jazz Vespers, Juan Diego Villalobos will return to perform with Luis Perdomo.

A Mass of the Resurrection with inurnment for Jim Burt will be on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow.

Peace and Courage!
The Rev. Amandus J. Derr
Senior Pastor

This is a longer book, so no "read ahead" title this time! But we welcome suggestions for books to read and discuss, and all are welcome to join us!
  • If you have a title to suggest and/or want to be on the book discussion email list, please email Kit Kreilick at: kkreilick@gmail.com.
