Literacy:
77.6% of students met grade level standards in writing. This is an increase of over 2% from the 2017-2018 school year., however, this does not meet the goal of 80% of students proficient.

or the 2019-2020 school year, Lyon will:

Continue Wildly Important Goals (WIGs), however, these goals will be at the classroom level instead of just staff participation.

Set norms for WIGs used within literacy
o
Develop a systematic professional development plan to ensure Lyon staff embed critical thinking strategies into daily lessons
o
Utilize phonics in small group and whole group in order to increase both reading and writing proficiency.
