Dear Parishioners,

In the attached video, Monsignor Hendricks shares new updates with you. Please view the video and read the highlights below.

ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE PARISH
  • We appreciate everyone’s participation and adherence to the guidelines we have put in place. To date, we have opened our doors for Private Prayer Hour, First Friday Adoration, Confession and in-person Mass on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We also held Funerals, Weddings, Baptisms, the 2020 RCIA Mass in July and First Communions every weekend since mid-July.
  • The dispensation from attending public Mass has been extended indefinitely by Bishop Brennan. We strongly encourage everyone who is not able to attend Mass or not comfortable attending Mass to watch the livestream Mass.
  • Beginning September 26th, we will add an additional Sunday Mass. The weekend Mass schedule will be Saturday at 5:00 pm, Sunday at 9:00 am and Sunday at 11:00 am. One Mass per day will continue to be available on our YouTube and Facebook pages.
  • We will continue to suspend all activity on campus as we are not able to offer indoor or outdoor meeting space on our grounds. This is due in large part to the daily cleaning requirements, risk of cross-contamination, our limited ability to monitor compliance with all state and local health mandates and most importantly, the lack of available space we will have due to the fact that, out of necessity, both Hendricks Hall and larger areas of our outdoor grass space will be converted to classroom space for St. Brigid Elementary School. The only exception to this suspension is given to clergy-led meetings for the purpose of sacramental preparation or specific staff-led meetings.
  • Committee Chairs and Leaders of our parish are encouraged to, if possible and applicable to their group, meet virtually.
  • Beginning September 11th and lasting for 4 weeks, we will hold [Virtual] Ministry Weekend. We aim to introduce you to the ministries of our parish and the many ways in which our parish continues to minister to one another even though we are not currently gathering together on campus.

ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
  • We are pleased to announce that St. Brigid of Kildare Elementary School will open with in-person classes beginning with a staggered start August 31st - September 4th. I am thankful for all the many hours that the school administration and school re-open task-force has put in over the summer finalizing plans so that our teachers and students can return to the classroom. We have rented modular units for Preschool, spaced out grades K-7 in 3 "pods" per grade level throughout the school, and will be using Hendricks Hall for 8th grade classroom space.

ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
  • We are pleased to announce that registration is open for the 2020-2021 Religious Education year. This year, we will be providing a Directed Faith Study program for Religious Education. Materials will be online through our traditional textbook publisher, Our Sunday Visitor. You will also receive weekly emails detailing course topics and practical applications and tools to help in the journey of your child(ren)’s faith formation. In addition to weekly course emails, you will also be contacted monthly by phone. This will allow individual help and guidance for your family. If you have not already registered, please visit the website to do so.

BISHOP'S ANNUAL APPEAL
  • If you have not already pledged your donation to the Bishop's Annual Appeal, please consider doing so. Your contribution helps Bishop Brennan spread the Joy of the Gospel throughout the Diocese of Columbus. To donate, visit columbuscatholicgiving.org to make a secure pledge or gift.
