Greetings!
Please see the COVID-19 and Omicron variant information below and follow health guidelines for a safe holiday season. Safe practices over the holidays will be critical to attempting to avoid a surge in cases in January. Also please continue to promote the Shop Pacifica gift card program to your friends and family, and to your favorite businesses to sign up for free for the program.
Stormy weather is in the forecast over the next week, so public safety and public works crews will be busy and active around the clock. Please stay safe. If you see potentially dangerous conditions such as unsafe water accumulation on roadways, broken trees/limbs, the beginnings of potential landslides, or other, please don’t hesitate to send information to dpwassistance@ci.pacifica.ca.us or call (650) 738-3760 (call 911 in a real emergency). For reference, the City’s website has a lot of information about [Preparedness for Natural Disasters], such as winter storms, flooding, landslides, fires, and more.
May your holidays be safe and relaxing!
Sincerely,
Kevin Woodhouse
City Manager

Shop Pacifica Community Gift Card Program
|
|
The Shop Pacifica Program is picking up fast! Pacifica residents and visitors are invited to purchase e-gift cards at Shop Pacifica website to help the local economy and support Pacifica businesses. By using the community gift card, those dollars will stay in Pacifica and benefit our entire community!
There are currently fourteen participating businesses that are ready to accept payment via the community e-gift card, and this number is expected to grow every week. For a full list of participating places, see the Where Can I Redeem My Card? webpage (please note, the webpage will be updated frequently as new businesses are added to the program).
At participating locations you can use the community gift card to enjoy your lunch or dinner, have a sweet bite, purchase a unique gift or unwind with a glass of wine and even pay for classes or children’s programs offered through the City of Pacifica Parks, Beaches, and Recreation Department!
The Shop Pacifica Gift Card will make a perfect stocking stuffer or last-minute gift for your loved ones this holiday season and your gift will benefit the entire Pacifica community, says Yulia Carter, Chief Financial Sustainability Officer for the City of Pacifica.
The Shop Pacifica eGift Card program is the perfect gift to give for the holidays or special occasions. The program provides an easy and fun way to encourage the community to shop and keep spending local, says Daisy Fong, the Chair of the City of Pacifica Economic Development Committee.
We encourage Pacifica businesses to sign-up for the City of Pacifica's free community gift card program! It only takes a few minutes to sign up and activate on the Shop Pacifica website: Shop Pacifica
Once your business is activated in Yiftee (our technology partner assisting with the launch of this exciting program), we will send you a welcome email and provide free promotional marketing materials for the program, including window clings and business cards.
For more information about this program, please click here. Please contact Yulia Carter, Chief Financial Sustainability Officer, at ycarter@cityofpacifica.gov or 650-501-6004 if you have any questions or need assistance to sign up for the program or purchase the gift cards. Take the Pacifica Bike Park Survey by 12/31
|
|
The City of Pacifica would like your input and feedback to help better our City’s decision-making process on the possibility of a bicycle park being developed at Lower Frontierland Park.
We want to specifically hear from Pacifica residents, and residents that live near Lower Frontierland Park. You may have already taken the online survey; unfortunately, the survey closed too soon and not everyone was able to participate.
The online bicycle park survey has been extended until December 31st. If you would like to participate in this bicycle park survey, please navigate to the following website www.flashvote.com/bike.
If you’d like a hard or digital copy, have any questions, or would like more information, please feel free and contact Recreation Coordinator Anthony Schriver at 650-738-7461 or aschriver@pacifiac.gov.
Thank you for your time and future input!

Provide Your Input -
San Mateo County Fair Housing Survey
|
|
The City is working with San Mateo County on a study to determine which residents have the hardest time finding housing and what solutions would work best to address the county’s housing shortage. Please help us by taking this survey. It will only take 10 minutes, be strictly confidential, and give you a chance to win a $100 gift card!
This survey is not associated with a ballot issue or voting. Your responses are completely confidential and will only be reported in combination with other responses.
If you require an accommodation to enable you to participate in the survey, please contact Frankie Lewington at Frankie@rootpolicy.com or call (970) 880-1415. An example of a reasonable accommodation would be taking the survey by phone.
