The Indianapolis MPO has launched surveys for two regional plans to assess public preferences for bike and pedestrian infrastructure funding. Please provide input and distribute the links below:
Musicians Needed to Perform at IndyGo Bus Stops Sept. 2-7
The Arts Council of Indianapolis, IndyGo, and Square Cat Vinyl have partnered to select Indiana-based musicians to perform at selected bus stops from September 2-7, 2019. These performances will help celebrate the opening week for the Red Line Rapid Transit bus line and the debut of route improvements throughout the IndyGo system. Applications are due June 2, 2019. Governor Holcomb Names First Next Level Trails Recipients
Governor Holcomb and IDNR Director Cameron Clark have announced the first recipients of funding from the Next Level Trails program. Plans for this program were first announced in December and by February, more than 80 applications were received. According to the Governor's Office, this is the largest infusion of trail funding in state history.

Both the B&O Trail (Marion County) and Franklin Street Trail (Hancock County) received funds from this program. Read more here.
FREE Transit & Disability Training Series for Indiana Transit Providers
Training opportunities are available both in person and via livestream regarding Transit and Disability. Registration is required regardless of preferred delivery. There are multiple dates and topics covered over the next couple months. For more information and to register, click here.
Bike to Work Day: May 17
Friday, May 17th is the annual Bike to Work Day! This event is designed to bring first time bicycle commuters in contact with experienced riders to lead Bike Trains to Downtown Indianapolis on safe routes from all over Central Indiana. Be sure to register here to allow for an accurate participation count, as well as find an Indy Bike Train Route. Following the commute, there will be a meet up at the Circle Monument where light refreshments will be provided.
