New Resources for Developing Business Relationships with Indigenous Peoples
Two new documents have been made available as part of ongoing efforts to improve the tools for businesses and Indigenous peoples to work better together.

1. The Canadian Chamber of Commerce has released a report focused on the regulations governing relationships between businesses and Indigenous peoples. Within Our Control: Improving the Regulation of Business-Indigenous Peoples’ Relationships was developed through spring and summer 2018 with input from Canadian Chamber Members, other business people and representatives of Indigenous governments across Canada.

2. Locally, the North Superior Workforce Planning Board/ Local Employment Planning Council has released a Guide to Developing Indigenous Inclusion Policies in partnership with Indigenous Works. This Guide makes recommendations to workplace policy development to encourage Indigenous inclusion and was the topic of our APEX Breakfast event in mid-November. Download the Guide here.

Special thanks to Member Jason Thompson of Superior Strategies for his investment of time in the development of both reports.
