January 19, 2018: Open Letter to the Ontario Chamber Network re: Bill 148
from the desk of Rocco Rossi, @OntarioCofC

On Friday, Premier Wynne tweeted - among other things - “I’m happy to talk to any business owner about the minimum wage.” In response, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce has sent this open letter to all members of the Ontario Chamber Network encouraging us to be in touch with the Premier about the unintended consequences of Bill 148 that we are now seeing come to fruition.

Information Session: Addressing the Challenges of Our Foodservice Sector

Research suggests that new costs and government policies could force the closure of up to 26% of foodservice operations in Ontario and that would mean countless jobs here in Thunder Bay. If you’re concerned about the way government policy-making is affecting the future of your foodservice or related business, join us February 7 from 8 -9am for an information session and roundtable discussion with Restaurants Canada about the way recent changes in Ontario have made the province more costly for you, and how we can work together to address these challenges. Attendance at this free session is limited to business operating in the foodservice sector; a max of one representative per company may attend.  Register now.
