Canada’s New Women Entrepreneurship Fund - Helping Northern Ontario’s Women Entrepreneurs
The Women's Entrepreneurship Fund program was announced on Friday by the Government of Canada. Priority will be given to three types of businesses:
  • Diverse women entrepreneurs (such as women with disabilities, Indigenous women, women in rural or remote regions, recent immigrants, visible minority women, women from Official Language Minority Communities)
  • Businesses with products and/or services related to one of the Economic Strategy Table sectors
  • Projects seeking to pursue market opportunities abroad

The Province of Ontario Wants Your Ideas for a Made-in-Ontario Climate Change Plan
Ontario's Government for the People is inviting the public and businesses to have their say on how Ontario can deal with environmental challenges such as climate change. The public can now comment on some key areas of focus for Ontario's new plan, which will replace the previous government's insistence on imposing a punishing, job-killing carbon tax on Ontario families and businesses, and instead focus on collaborative approaches that will actually help the environment.
